Classic Shrimp Cocktail
Add garlic, peppercorns, salt, and bay leaf to a pot of water. Bring pot to a boil for 2 minutes.
Add shrimp; cook until done (approximately 2 minutes; allow extra time for larger shrimp).
Remove shrimp from water and place in ice bath to chill.
Preparation: Cocktail Sauce
Combine all ingredients thoroughly and add salt/pepper to taste.
Shrimp8 - 16/20 or larger shrimp, peeled and cleaned
1 qt. water
1 clove garlic
6 peppercorns, whole
1 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
Cocktail Sauce½ c. tomato ketchup
½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch fresh garlic
½ tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. fresh-squeezed lemon juice
Cracked black pepper and salt to taste
