Mad Butcher Salsa Nacho Dip
 
   

SHOPPING LIST

 

Produce

  • Green Onions (3/4 cup diced)
  • Red and Yellow Bell Peppers (3/4 cup diced each)
  • Lettuce (2 cups shredded)
  • Cilantro (fresh chopped for garnish- optional)
  • Cucumber (1 thinly sliced)

Groceries

  • Mayonnaise (1/2 cup)
  • Red cocktail sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Mad Butcher Salsa (1 cup- your choice)

Dairy

  • Cream cheese (8 oz.- softened)
  • Sour cream (1/2 cup)
  • Shredded cheese (2 cups- Monterey Jack and Cheddar blend)

In a blender, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise.  Spread the mixture evenly on the bottom of a medium serving dish.  In layers, top the mixture with cocktail sauce, Mad Butcher Salsa, green onions, red and yellow peppers, lettuce, cheese and cilantro.  Arrange cucumber slices around the edge of the serving dish.  Chill at least two hours before serving with your favorite tortilla chip.

For a low fat version, substitute low-fat cream cheese, no-fat sour cream and Lite or reduced fat mayo.  ENJOY!!

For some extra fun, pair the Mad Butcher Salsa Nacho Dip with Dos Equis, a bright, mixed bunch of flowers, and some Jennifer Lopez music.
