George’s Chili
2 lbs. George’s Grind ground beef
2 Tbsp. mild chili powder
1 tsp. chipotle powder or 1 Tbsp. chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1 tsp. chopped garlic
1 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. beef base
2 cups diced tomatoes
2 Tbsp. flour
3 cups chili beans
salt to taste
· In a large skillet, brown beef over medium-high heat; drain well and return to pan.
· Add chili powder, chipotle powder, garlic, onion and green pepper. Cook 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
· Add remaining ingredients; cook 45 minutes.
· Serve with shredded Cheddar cheese and onion.
